Body Corporate information
If you own or live in a unit-titled property, you will be a member of a Body Corporate. The Body Corporate is responsible for the general well-being of your building – making sure that it is maintained, insured, the rubbish is collected and the lawns mowed – and that is the minimum that you should expect. More importantly, the Body Corporate is a legal entity and framework for the ownership and management of land and associated buildings and facilities on a socially and economically sustainable basis by communities of individual owners.
Running a Body Corporate is akin to running a business. You need to plan, you need to budget and you need to get everybody onside.
